La cucina italiana, December 1998
Chalet Guglielmina is very proud of its past. The refuge is located at 2880 m above the sea level, near to the Monte Rosa Ski Area, which has long been considered a Mecca for skiers due to its fabulous pistes. The lodge was originally built in 1878 by the Guglielmina’s and even now it is run by Ornella, a descendent of the family. She’s in charge of the cooking along with her daughter Barbara, while Annalisa and Alberto, the other children, take care of the dining hall and their father, Franco, runs the lounge bar. The rustic and cosy bedrooms can accommodate 40 people while the dining hall can host 60 guests. The place is ideal for experiencing spectacular, panoramic mountains and valleys views and tasting traditional dishes.
